Today was a teacher planning day, so no school!!! I was originally planning to go anyway to get some work done, but I was feeling very sick last night, and I ended up sleeping in this morning πŸ˜…

Last night was my first open house as a teacher. As usual, I panicked over it for several days, only to not be nervous the day of. I was very sleep deprived though, and I had a major headache. The parents were all very nice though and it seems like I left a good impression on them!

It was very warm and humid out today. Believe it or not, I took these photos in the middle of a storm! I originally wanted to go to the park to take them, but it started pouring right as my foot went out the door.

These boots came in handy for stomping through puddles! I had to walk to a nearby school because some of their students’ artwork was accidentally sent to my school. I brought along a snack for the trip, but of course, I forgot the umbrella!! I was stranded at the school until the rain died down.

Last but not least, I wanted to share a couple of rings with you guys! They were a gift, and they’re so lovely. Everyone loves the one on the left, but I’m a bit partial to the one on the right because it’s very similar to a ring that I lost a long time ago.

Now I’m off to read some books and study French! Perhaps I’ll get a little bit of lesson planning done afterward, just so that I can say that I had a “very productive” day when my coworkers ask.

I hope your day was as stress-free as mine!

  1. Hi Rina, I just wanted to reach out in the comments as I couldn’t find your contact information anywhere on your blog. If you’re open to collabs I’d love to hear from you. I would be awesome if you could get in touch with me directly on and then I could tell you a little more about what I had in mind. Thanks! πŸ™‚
